Food does not have to be boring!
I have said it before and I’ll say it again. You can really eat Healthy and have it tasty and fun. Everyone for some reason is under the assumption that healthy has to be boring. Well after years of cooking almost every meal at home and experimenting with many different flavors and trying many different things, I have found some really great flavorful healthy options.
So with today’s blog I am going to make it short and sweet and put on one of my all-time favorite recipes that is easy and tasty. And the nice thing with these recipes is you can change it up to whatever flavors suit you. It is not a one size fits all recipe.
This is my Crockpot shredded Taco Chicken recipe. I have shared this on my Facebook page but now it’s time to put it on the website.
4-5 Organic Chicken Breasts
1 jar of Jacks All Natural Salsa
1 Packet of Taco seasoning
Layer your chicken breast on the bottom of your crockpot. Pour the salsa over the chicken breast and sprinkle the taco seasoning on the top. Set it on low and wait 5-6 hours. I start to shred with a fork after about 5 hours and let it all blend together. When you’re ready take it out and I personally put on lettuce wraps. My husband like it as a taco salad in a bowl. Add some guacamole and I top mine with greek yogurt (sour cream substitute that works great).
Now it’s time to eat and enjoy!!
