I am a fit Mom, a boater girl, an avid cook and 53 years young. I have two Beautiful children that are out and about in the world living all across the country, and a husband who is my workout partner as well as a really great sous chef! Life is good and is only getting better.
I wanted to start this website/blog to reach out to everyone that thinks they can’t get fit or stay fit. Those of you that think it’s no fun and it is so much work. Reality is, it can be fun and yes it is work (but the kind of work you are actually happy about and proud of at the end of the day).
I do have my personal training certification and I’d like to think I know quite a bit about nutrition. I started working out at the age of 28 after my kids were born and I have never looked back once. But over the last 25 years the fitness industry has changed and I had to change with it. I had no idea back then anything about nutrition and even now I learn something new everyday.
You know it’s never to late to be fit, stay fit or get fit. Age is honestly just a number and whether you like it or not we all age. Please don’t let your age define you. We just need to embrace life and make the most of this body we have. Healthy and Happy is my goal and I’d like to help you make it yours too. We are all given this wonderful body, so why not use it?
At 52, I appeared on my 1st magazine cover on Scottsdale Health Magazine with my son Jeremy Scott in a Family Fitness segment. In a million years this is not what I thought I would be doing at 52. But then I ask myself, “why not”.
Please come along and enjoy the ride!! You really can love life and have fun with fitness. We all want to be around for a long time so let’s get up and moving. Let me help you be the best you that you can be.
